For the modeler: This review covers the Round 2 release of the 2008 Chevy Corvette Convertible as the Indy 500 Pace Car Replica. This was released under the AMT brand in 2008 and was an all-new tooling and can still be found in the secondary markets under Kit #AMT816L. The kit is a Skill Level: 2 (ages 10 and up). You will get about 40 parts molded in Black, Chrome 1 and Clear with Vinyl tires, Metal axles and screws and Waterslide decals. It has typical fold-out sheet instructions from AMT. This is a Curbside and has no motor and simplified assembly; it is one step above a Snap kit. The interior has a nicely detailed finish that does not require painting as you will lose the factory look. The chassis has everything molded in. The body is separate parts but can be fully assembled and painted prior to final assembly. Overall dimensions are; Length: 7-1/2”, Width: 3”, Height: 2-1/2”
