Here come the Zingers! Wild little vehicles with huge motors and wheels! Perfect for young modelers and irresistible to veteran collectors, the Zingers pack a huge punch in a small package.

For the Modeler: : This review covers the Re-release of the Zingers Super Drag kit by MPC under the MPC brand. This is a 1/32 scale car with a 1/20 scale motor! These have not seen a re-pop in many year and this is a 2010 release but can still be found in some hobby shops and online. It is Skill Level 2 and requires paint and glue. You get 42 parts molded in White and Black with a set of Waterslide decals. The instructions are fold out and simple to follow. This is a basic kit of nothing more than a huge motor and a set of wheels! Simple and fun is what these were about, Overall dimensions are: Length: 5¼”, Width: 2¾”, Height: 2¾” Add 1¼” length for the chute.

How to Build the Lost In Space Jupiter 2 AMT Model Kit #8459 Review

For the Modeler: This review covers the AMT/ERTL model of the Jupiter 2 from the Lost in Space movie. This kit is dated 1998 and is an original molding. No scale is noted on the kit. It was Kit # 8459 in their catalog and can still be found online and in some private owned Hobby Shops. The kit is listed as a Skill Level 2 and requires Glue and Paint. The kit is quite simple with roughly 30 parts molded in White and Clear. The ship is a main hull with only the engines and armor plates for the most part with little to no details of an interior. Most of your work will be based on paint and detail weathering. Overall the ship is About 12” long, 8” wide and 8½’ high.

How to Build the 1957 Chevy Black Widow 1-25 Scale Revell Model Kit #85-4441 Review

Thanks to its low curb weight and high curb appeal, the Chevy 150 was extremely popular with hot rodders. Chevy embraced the racing pedigree of the 150 with the “Black Widow” racing stock car. These non-production cars were built by Southern Engineering and Development Company. A special builder set up by GM. All “Black Widows” were based on the 1957 150 Utility Sedan. Many proved highly successful, with wins at the National Championship and elsewhere

For the Modeler: This review covers the Re-release of the Revell 1/25 scale Black Widow ’57 Chevy Race Car. This kit has seen multiple releases and over the years and the parts have been used in other kits. For example the chassis is dated 1997. This is a Skill Level 5 for ages 14 and over and requires glue and paint. You get 151 parts molded in White, Chrome, Clear and Clear Red. There are Vinyl tires and an all-new set of Waterslide decals. The instructions are typical Revell book style and well laid out with full build, paint and decal pictorial diagrams. This kit is listed as a 2-n-1 as you get the ability you paint and decal your car as a STOCK 150 and the motor and exhaust is there but the back seat is missing for a full 150 sedan. Overall fit and finish is great and the build process is typical with a well detailed motor, chassis and basic race interior. The body has minor mold lines. Decal options allow for three different car numbers but no sponsors. Dimensions are: Length: 7-15/16″, Width: 2-7/8″, Height: 2-3/8″.
