Timeline 1977: “A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…..’ When the movie “Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope” hit the theaters on May 25, 1977 this 27 year old adult/kid thought this was the best movie to be released in quite a while. I was raised on the Sci-Fi of the early to mid ‘50’s, so this taps right into that concept. The story is basically, Luke Skywalker leaves his home planet, teams up with other rebels, and tries to save Princess Leia from the evil clutches of Darth Vader.

001This Revell Star Wars X-34 Landspeeder kit #85-1874 SnapTite kit, is pre-decorated/painted/weathered and consists of 40 individual parts including pre-painted figures. The figures alone are worth the price of admission! Even though this kit is rated Skill Level 1 for ages 8 years +, I highly recommend this kit for any of you Star Wars fans. A beautiful piece for your collection, little kid or big kid! During assembly, I chose to glue the parts rather than just snap them together, it’s more permanent that way to me. I also chose to paint the base in a light tan color to replicate a sand color such as in the movie. There were no fit or assembly issues at all.

Remember, this is a hobby, keep it fun and enjoyable.
