Back in the day, it was not uncommon to buy a car from a dealership, alter it a little, and then race it at the drag strip or abandoned airport. The 312 cubic inch, 245HP V8 Ford was a favorite against any Detroit brand. Ford reinvented the Custom 2 door with a longer wheel-base and lower stance.

For the Modeler: This is a Revell skill level 3 Special Edition 2 in 1, ’57 Ford Custom kit in 1/25th scale.  Kit includes 129 pieces, molded in white, clear, clear red, and chrome. It Includes tires without brand logos (4) and rear racing slicks (2). The kit also includes great water slide decals with options for two different name designs, M&H tire decals for the racing slicks, and white wall decals for the stock option.  The instruction sheet is laid out well with clear instructions for part placement location and lettered paint codes.  Options are given for factory stock or an altered racing package. This was a whole new kit for Revell, the first time the ‘57 Ford Custom has been released.  The tooling is amazing, very clean and zero flashing.  There are fine parts for fuel lines and many detailing upgrades that will make it look more realistic.  The plastic was a lot thinner and lighter in weight which made everything cleaner and crisper on the parts tree and on the body.  Overall, this was a very impressive kit. Keep the glue off the windshield!
