The Mini Cooper came out in 1959 and was a four time Monte Carlo Rally winner. The Mini was designed by John Cooper (a famous race car maker) and was a very popular car in several countries with several different model versions. The Mini Cooper was also featured in Movies such as; The Italian Job both the 1969 and 2003 version.
For the Modeler: This is the Revell California Wheels Series Original Mini Cooper in 1/24 scale. It is a skill level 2 model. This kit (#85-4035) contains 128 pieces, is molded in white, chrome, and clear parts, and has soft black vinyl tires. It also includes illustrated directions and waterslide decals. Finished dimensions are: Length: 5″, Width: 2 ¼”, Height: 2 â…›” This kit features an opening hood with accurately detailed 61 cid engine. It can be built for left or right hand drive and has moveable front wheels.
