Every once-in-a-while I am asked to make a custom model for someone and if I have the time I try to do it for them. Some folks are real “car guys†and they love to show off their beauties and share them with the rest of us.
Original Car
The Model
          At a recent car show I ran into an old friend that owns a show room 1968 Camaro RS and it became the subject of my latest project. This car is pretty common in base configurations for the Z-28 or SS versions but the RS version is pretty rare for that year so I used a Z-28 base because it also featured the vinyl top and red stripped tires that were required.

          Even in this form there were several modifications that had to be made to duplicate the original car. All the models are made with manual shift versions so the console was converted to the 3 speed automatic. The paint color was changed to the original GM Grecian Green and the Z stripes were replaced with RS stripes. The taillights, steering wheel and grill had to be modified to the Rally Sport package as well.
  This car is a real trophy winner and now the owner has a Mini-Me custom to display along with it.
