What do you get when you stretch out the nose of a Volkswagen Beetle and set that on a Hemi powered dragster frame? You get the Bugaboo! This kit is a reissue of the original, but Round 2 has added some new decals as well as blue tinted windows [both pictured above]. It is a skill 2 and at around 80 pieces molded in white plastic. it is fairly detailed plus the parts show little sign of “flash”. With patience this kit builds very well.

Overview: The motor at 19 pieces is very detailed and builds well. However I would advise assembling the headers [each side is 5 pieces] and letting the glue thoroughly dry before attaching them. I also used a small rubber band to hold them in place [to the motor] while the glue set up. The multi piece chassis builds easily and goes together with no issues. The tires and wheels are nicely done, but I would suggest sanding the rear tires to add a touch of realism. The body itself is well done and needed almost no prep [very small flash removal needed around front/rear window openings] before painting. If I had to rate this kit I would recommend it could be done by any builder as long as they are patient and careful and I would give it 8 out of 10 stars. It is a fun kit to build and I would definitely build it again.
