This motorcycle was brought out in 1984 for the Grand Prix Motorcycle Racing. With the Honda NSR500 the Honda team won 10 500cc World Championship Races from 1984 to the present. They won six races in a row from 1994-1999. In 1989 Honda received their third world championship. The Honda NSR500 had a top speed of 190 mph.

 

For the Modeler: This review covers the Hasegawa Honda NSR 500 HB Motorcycle (1989 WGP500) 1:12 Scale Model Kit #21714. It is a Skill Level 3 kit for the advanced. The pieces are molded in grey, white, clear, black vinyl tires with waterslide decals.
