It’s hard to image that the Chevrolet Corvette can get better with every new generation but this seventh rendition of the venerable roadster is assuredly the best yet. Stunning good looks coupled with unabashed power continue to push the envelope in the luxury sports car segment.
For the Modeler:Â This review covers the skill level 3 (10 years and older) 2014 Corvette Stingray 1:25 Scale Revell Model Kit #85-4350. Â The reason this is a skill level 3 kit is because it requires glue and optional paint for assembly in the pre-decorated 
series.  This kit appears to be drawn from a SnapTite model.  Although glue is required the positive placement points with posts and slots make assembly painless. There is some paint recommended for this model to finish off details like exhaust, engine/tranny, etc. And there’s a three hour assembly rating on the package but if you spend an extra hour – you can simply add some great detail to this kit! The kit is precisely molded in red, black, and chrome plated parts with clear pre-installed windows, vinyl tires and transparent red taillights. There’s really no flash and the pre-finished exterior is excellent. It assembles easily following the instructions. Finished dimensions are: Length: 6-15/16″, Width: 3-5/16″, Height: 1-7/8″.
This is the perfect transition kit when trying to move a novice builder into glue kits. With only 56 beautifully finished pieces – this kit will really be a source of pride for the novice builder. It can show someone the process of following directions and calls for some minor paint details to be added too.
Overall: The part fit on this kit is excellent. Although it’s a simple kit, it has some nice detail and room for optional work by the advanced builder.  This is a great first kit for the novice builder moving into the realm of glue kits. You won’t find a car kit that has this intent more clearly engineered than this one. For accomplishing its mission in that regard, I rate this one a knockout!
