The Color Me Gone II car was not only built, it was also driven by Roger Lindamood who was a Chrysler transmission lab technician. The engine that was in the car was a 426 big block that was able to do a quarter mile in 12 seconds.

For the modeler:  This review covers the Color Me Gone II 1964 Dodge 300 Super Stock 1:25 Scale AMT Model Kit #987.  It is a Skill Level 2 kit for the intermediate builder.  There are 143 pieces molded in white, chrome, clear, black vinyl tires with water slide decals. 000b  Lindberg has released a few versions of the model kit and now Round2 has re-released this version as an AMT kit with new box art. The moldings are in very good shape and the decals have been rendered nicely.  The finished dimensions are; 8¼” L, 3” W, & 2¼” H.
